Paraphrase it! | Parafrasearlo!

As we approach the tail end of our 40 Days in the Word we have explored three different ways of engaging and studying the word of God. We have also touched on somethings we need to be aware of that might distract us or prevent us from reading, studying and applying it to our lives.

This week we looked at a new method called Paraphrase It.

Paraphrase It is a method where we choose one verse and we read it several times both in silence and out loud, to understand what it’s saying. Afterwards we “paraphrase” or say/write that verse in our own words trying to avoid using the same words used in the original verse. Lastly, we ask what truth is in the verse and how can I apply it in my life.

As you can see is not too complicated a process but it will enrich and deepen your understanding of the word of God.
